Ronnie Coleman graduated from gambling State University in 1986 with a B s degree in accounting. During this time, he exhibited immense interest in playing football as a middle linebacker for his University. Later, he became a police officer in Texas . Here, one of his fellow officers showed him the way to the Arlington 's Metroflex Gym, owned by amateur bodybuilder Brian Dobson. Much to Coleman's pleasure and surprise, Dobson offered him a free lifetime membership if he would permit himself to be trained by Dobson for the upcoming Mr Texas Bodybuilding competition. Fortunately, Ronnie won the first place in both – the heavyweight and overall categories. Not only that, to the amazement of all present, he also defeated his trainer, Brian Dobson.
