Arizona naturopath faces steroids charges
After a year of being a runaway, Jesse Haggard, an Arizona naturopath, recently came back from Latin America. He is expected to appear in court for the first time on Wednesday in Orlando, Florida. He was indicted last year in Alabama, according to a representative for the US Attorney’s office in the Southern District of Alabama.
According to the federal government, Haggard was part of an extensive conspiracy to distribute steroids via online pharmacies.
Jesse’s brother, Josh, wrote in an e-mail that Jesse has just returned to the US ready for the pre-trial. He believed that his brother is in Florida. Josh added that his brother never had a patient complain and that his main purpose is to help people.
Haggard faces 11 felony counts. He is accused with distribution of controlled substances, conspiracy to distribute, money laundering, and criminal forfeiture. Prosecutors in the Southern District of Alabama said he used steroids himself and conspired with pharmacist at Allied Pharmacy Services in Mobile, Alabama to administer and sell anabolic steroids even without recognized medical purposes.
Haggard used to work at Revolution Medical Center. A clinic based in Phoenix and owned by Jeremy Bula. Clients can obtain prescriptions and purchase steroids from the facility, can pick up the drugs on site and take them home for injections.
