Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3) in a rage gave his opinion of the Governor after the recent budget battle: “I wanted to punch him in his head…He’s a rotten prick!”
The reason for the tirade is now visible — anabolic steroids.
From Politickernj.com:
After much speculation, Sweeney finally admitted that he had received steroids from Brian McNamee, the baseball trainer who has whipped a few pitching stars into shape with steroids, including Roger Clemens and Andy Petite.
“Sweeney got in touch with me through a player on the Trenton Thunder, who played for the Yankees in years past. He told me that he needed something to boost his strength and endurance in dealing with ‘the governor of a small northeastern state. I don’t follow politics, so I did not know who he was referring to,” said McNamee.
On June 29, Christie signed a bill that forced state employees to pay more per year for their pensions and health benefits. According to the news reports, “Christie handed the first pen he used to sign the bill to Senate President Sweeney, whom he praised for his bipartisanship and ‘political courage’ for joining with the GOP to pass legislation that his own Democratic Party members in the legislature opposed.”
Sweeney told Tom Moran of the Star-Ledger in an interview Friday, “I wanted to punch him in his head.” McNamee is no longer administering steroids, as he was “only engaged through the budget season.”

Britain’s Kelly Sotherton hopes the career of Ukrainian heptathlon silver medalist Lyudmila Blonska is over after she failed a drug test for the second time.
As per a confirmation by the International Olympic Committee, Blonska has been “removed from the Olympic Games” and that she will not compete in the long jump final.
From Espnstar.com:
Anti-doping authorities will test the Ukrainian’s ‘B’ sample on Thursday and if the positive test is confirmed by the IOC is confirmed she could be given a lifetime ban.
Blonska came second in the heptathlon with a season’s best score of 6,700 points, three places ahead of Sotherton, who said: “I’m totally not surprised by the news.
“I’ve been saying all along that she got caught doping when she was scoring 6300 points, how can she not be doping and scoring 6800?
“I have not seen any of her results since early June and then she comes out here and is producing good performances, which was suspicious.
“If the B sample comes back positive then that’s a life ban, which will bring an end to the saga – hopefully she will be finished.”
IAAF president Lamine Diack confirmed he had been informed of the failed test and that Blonska will have her B sample tested tomorrow.
The Ukrainian heptathlon star was handed over a two-year ban in 2003 after testing positive for steroids and has again tested positive for an anabolic steroid.

Two of India’s junior campers have tested positive for the same anabolic steroid during National Anti-Doping Agency tests in May.
Samples from Om Prakash and Anuj Kumar returned positive results out of the 61 samples collected, NADA sources told TOI.
From Articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com:
The May tests came just days before the trials for the Junior World championships in Malaysia. According to federation sources, the duo was not part of the team.
Meanwhile, sundown on Tuesday was vastly different at Sports Authority of India, South Centre, when a team of SAI officials raided the rooms of junior weightlifters at the campus. Informed sources told TOI that the team found ‘medicines and syringes’ in the room of a coach.
When confronted, the coach apparently told the team that they had been kept in the room by a weightlifter.
When asked, the weightlifter replied in the affirmative, the sources said. The team immediately prepared the list of items confiscated and got the papers signed by the coach and the weightlifter.
While Om Prakash tested positive for methandienone, Anuj tested positive to a combination of methandienone and nandrolone.

Injured Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez will not be suspended over illegal poker allegations, according to Major League Baseball officials.
“Even if it is determined that he was [playing illegal poker], he will not be suspended at this time for this infraction,” a source said. “He will be warned again and not lightly.”
From Nypost.com:
League officials have been probing Rodriguez’s alleged poker playing, reports of which first surfaced early last month.
But the source told The Post that, unless Rodriguez admits to some other more serious infraction, he will not be suspended for any of the activities that so far have been alleged.
Although MLB objects to the behavior, the league apparently does not feel that it is serious enough to suspend Rodriguez for any period of time.
They will give him a serious warning to stay out of that kind of game, the source said. The new warning will come after the league previously cautioned the star slugger about his card playing in 2005.
A-Rod, through his spokesman, denied playing in the games.

Primobolan, also known as Methenolone enanthate and Primo, is one of those legal anabolic steroids and performance enhancing drugs that you can trust without having any second thoughts. This is not just because this legitimate steroid is effective for inducing body strength, stamina, performance, muscle definition, and muscle mass enhancements in a short span of time but also because it can be purchased easily online, with or without a medical prescription.
The ester derivative of methenolone is classified as a long acting anabolic with extremely low androgenic properties and does not lead to formation of estrogens. It has an active life of 5 days and can be easily detected in the urine for up to 3-8 weeks.
The chemical name of Primobolan is 17ß-hydroxy-1-methyl-5a-androst-1-en-3-one acetate and its anabolic/androgenic ratio is 88:44-57. Its molecular weight is 344.488 g/mol at the base and has the molecular formula of C22H32O3.
Available in oral as well as injectable forms, this synthetic anabolic steroid inhibits estrogen biosynthesis and can be used by AIDS patients for gaining and maintaining body mass. By promoting sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) and luteinizing hormone (LH), Primo stimulates dramatic enhancements in terms of protein synthesis, nitrogen retention, and muscle mass in as short as six to eight weeks. Primobolan use does not lead to estrogenic side effects and has minimal effects on the cholesterol levels and blood pressure. It is stacked with Deca Durabolin, Testosterone, Dianabol, Clenbuterol, T3, and Anadrol and its recommended dose is 25 mg once a day.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued a Public Health Advisory (PHA) warning to consumers for stopping the use of body building products that are represented as containing steroids or steroid-like substances.
Most of these products are marketed as dietary supplements, especially those sold on the Internet.
From Infozine.com:
The agency also issued a Warning Letter to American Cellular Laboratories Inc. for marketing and distributing body building products containing synthetic steroid substances. Although these products are marketed as dietary supplements, they are not dietary supplements, but instead are unapproved and misbranded drugs.
The PHA notifies consumers and health care professionals that the FDA has received reports of serious adverse events associated with the use of body building products that claim to contain steroids or steroid-like substances. Those adverse events include cases of serious liver injury, stroke, kidney failure and pulmonary embolism (artery blockage in the lung). The PHA also advises consumers to stop taking body building products from any manufacturer that claim to contain steroid-like substances or to enhance or diminish androgen-, estrogen-, or progestin-like effects in the body.
“Products marketed for body building and claiming to contain steroids or steroid-like substances are illegal and potentially quite dangerous,” said Commissioner of Food and Drugs Margaret A. Hamburg, M.D. “The FDA is taking enforcement action today to protect the public.”

Lyudmila Blonska, the Ukrainian athlete, has been stripped of her heptathlon Olympic silver medal after testing positive for steroids.
Blonska was handed over a two-year ban in 2003 after testing positive for steroids and now faces a lifetime ban.
From Espnstar.com:
The International Olympic Committee today announced she has been disqualified and kicked out of the Beijing Games, and they and may also take action against her coach.
“The IOC reserves the right to take sanctions or measures in relation to the athlete’s coach, Sergii Blonskyi,” the IOC said in a statement.
Blonska tested positive for methyltestosterone after finishing second in the heptathlon last Saturday.
The USA’s Hyleas Fountain now moves up to silver, Russia’s Tatiana Chernova gets bronze, and Sotherton’s official finishing position is fourth.
Britain’s Kelly Sotherton said, “I’d have been really upset if she’d won gold. The penalty you should pay if you take drugs is not to compete at the Olympics.”

Dianabol, which is also known as Dbol and Methandrostenolone, is one of the most popular oral anabolic steroids in the segment of legal anabolic steroids and legitimate performance enhancing drugs.
Dianabol has an active life of 6-8 hours and belongs to the drug class of oral anabolic/androgenic steroids. This derivative of Testosterone, the male sex hormone, exhibits strong anabolic and moderate androgenic properties and is one of the widely used anabolic steroids of all times, especially among bodybuilders and strength athletes.
Dianabol produces exceptional mass and strength gains when used as per instructions. The legal anabolic steroid should be used for six to eight weeks before expecting exceptional muscle and strength gains. Dianabol is more potent in terms of muscle mass compared to Equipoise (boldenone) and a popular drug for bulking up (A weight gain of 2-4 pounds per week in the first six weeks can be easily associated with use of legal Dianabol).
The recommended dose of oral Dianabol is 15-50 mg per day and the recommended dose of injectable Dianabol is 50-150 mg per week. It can be stacked with legitimate anabolic steroids and performance enhancing drugs like Parabolan, Winstrol Depot, Masteron, Oxandrolone, etc.
When abused, Dianabol can lead to estrogen side effects such as acne and water retention. For potential Dianabol users with a history of excess estrogen formation, an antiestrogen such as Nolvadex and/or Proviron is highly recommended. Dbol users can also opt for antiestrogens such as Arimidex, Femara, or Aromasin. Use of this drug is not meant for pregnant and breastfeeding women and any one suffering from breast or prostate cancer or individuals having an existing allergy to Dianabol or any of its ingredients.

Five North Korean football players have tested positive for a banned steroid at the women’s World Cup in Germany.
FIFA, the world governing body of Football, announced three new cases on Saturday, but did not disclose the women’s names.
From English.chosun.com:
FIFA ordered testing for all members of the North Korean club after two of its players — Jong Sun-song and Sim Pok-jong — tested positive for the banned drug earlier this month.
The Associated Press says North Korean officials assert that the players did not take the drug to enhance their performance, but as treatment for injuries from a lightning strike at a training camp. The banned substance came from a musk deer gland that is used in traditional Asian medicine.
This is the biggest doping scandal in the World Cup since Argentina’s Diego Maradona was disqualified from the men’s tournament in 1994.
