Some products such as GBL, BZP, and manmade chemicals sprayed on herbal smoking products such as Spice have been recently classified as controlled substances under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
Fifteen anabolic steroids and two growth promoters were also in line to be regulated as Class C drugs.
From Guardian.co.uk:
Her mother, Maryon, said the new rules did not go far enough because GBL had been classified only as a class C illegal drug. “In America, it is schedule A, which is the equivalent of a class A drug here,” she said.
The home secretary, Alan Johnson, said: “We are sending out a clear message to anyone who is thinking about experimenting with [the drugs], particularly over the festive period, that not only are they putting themselves in danger, they will also be breaking the law.”
The decision was taken after the high-profile case of medical student Hester Stewart, 21, who died in Brighton in April after taking GBL.

In today’s world of professional sports, success is measured by results and not mere dedication or desire to win. This is the reason why more and more professional sportsmen are opting for anabolic steroids and performance enhancing drugs like Testosterone enanthate to create a distinctive niche and stay close to success, fame, and recognition.
In this article, we will be reading about Testosterone enanthate, which is undoubtedly one of the most admired of all anabolic steroids in today’s steroid market.
A derivative of the male sex hormone (testosterone), Testosterone enanthate, is used and admired by sportsmen and recommended by sport coaches across the globe. This steroid is effective to maintain stable levels of blood and minimizing the frequency of dose intake via intramuscular or subcutaneous injections. It has an anabolic/androgenic ratio of 100:100, which means that it is as anabolic as androgenic and users depending upon it will not be let down while building solid muscle mass and improving on-field performance.
Testosterone enanthate can be detected over a period of 3 months and has an active life of 15-17 days. This version of testosterone is considered superior to the cypionate version of testosterone since it has more steroid weight.
The recommended dose of this testosterone derivative is 300-2000 mg per week for men. This drug should not be used by girls and women unless otherwise recommended by a qualified medical practitioner. It is also not recommended for individuals having an existing allergy to Testosterone enanthate or any of its ingredients.
Use of Testosterone enanthate can lead to formation of estrogens and this is the reason why ready supplies of antiestrogens such as Nolvadex are always recommended to prevent or eliminate excess estrogen formation.

The development of genital organs of the carp can get delayed to a significant extent when subjected to stress, as per a NWO research at Utrecht University. The stress hormone, cortisol, plays a critical role in delaying puberty, according to this research.
It was assumed by the researchers that the hormone, cortisol, is behind puberty delays.
From Sciencedaily.com:
Cortisol would seem to affect the testes. It directly delays the development of reproductive cells into sperm cells. This slows the growth of the sexual organs and also the supply of steroids to the blood. During puberty, steroids from the testes ensure that the brain, the pituitary gland and testes develop properly. Because the cortisol produced under stress reduces the supply of steroids, communication to the brain and the pituitary (a gland under the brain) is reduced. This means that, like the testes, these organs develop more slowly, thus slowing down overall development.
The whole complex of hormones involved in puberty is self-regulatory. The brain produces the gonadotropin-releasing hormone, which stimulates cells in the pituitary. On order, the pituitary then excretes the gonadotropins, the luteinising hormone and the hormone which stimulates the follicles. In the testes, the gonadotropins promote the production of reproductive cells and steroid hormones. The steroid hormones contribute to the production of the reproductive cells and ensure communication between the brain and the pituitary gland, thus completing the cycle.
The finding is believed to have critical implications for medical practitioners on a worldwide basis.

Oral contraceptives, when taken in low doses, could demonstrate as much efficacy as the present-day standard treatment for premenstrual syndrome, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), according to a recent study.
Patients with PMDD often experience cyclical mood, behavioral, and physical symptoms possibly triggered by changes in steroid hormone level changes, according to Kimberly Yonkers, M.D., associate professor in the departments of Psychiatry and Epidemiology and Public Health and lead author of the study.
From News-medical.net:
In this multi-center, double-blind, randomized clinical trial, 450 women ages 18 to 40, from 64 medical centers across the country with symptoms of PMDD, were given either the oral contraceptive or a placebo.
It was found that the women who were given the oral contraceptive had significantly greater improvement, over 48 percent compared to 36 percent, of women on the placebo.
They experienced greater enjoyment of hobbies, social activities, and interpersonal relationships, and greater symptom reduction.
It seems that forty-four women from both groups withdrew from the study due to adverse effects such as nausea and intermenstrual bleeding.
The low dose oral contraceptive contained drospirenone, a new progestin, and ethinyl estradiol.
In the study it was taken for 24 days followed by four days of inactive pills, which differs from traditional courses of therapy which have seven days of inactive pills.
It was remarked by researchers from Yale School of Medicine that a low dose treatment with oral contraceptive with a unique progestin and dosing regimen could be more than just useful for treating PMDD along with suppression of the ovarian activity.

In the world of professional sports, particularly bodybuilding and strength athletics, Letrozole or Femara is an admired name. This wonder drug is second to none when it comes to the treatment of infertility for inducing ovulation.
Letrozole, which is also known as Femara, is used in the world of anabolic steroids and performance enhancing drugs as a powerful antiestrogen. In the world of healthcare, it is used to treat spread of breast cancer after standard options of treatment such as Tamoxifen therapy have failed.
The chemical name of Letrozole is 4,4′-(1H-1,2,4Triazol-1-ylmethylene)dibenzonitrile and its molecular formula is C17H11N 5. This drug has the molecular weight of 285.31 g/mol at the base.
Sportsmen, especially steroid users, prefer Letrozole over other antiestrogens as it can inhibit the formation of estrogens by as much as 98 percent. In addition to that, Letrozole can enhance the levels of follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, and sex hormone-binding globulin significantly. Moreover, steroid users can easily avoid steroid side effects such as oily skin, acne, gynecomastia, and water retention by using Letrozole.
The recommended dose of Letrozole (Femara) is 2.5 mg per day and this antiestrogen is best taken at the end of a steroid cycle. It is important to note that this antiestrogen is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women or those using heavy machinery or performing activities requiring complete attention as its use can lead to dizziness. In order to maintain its shelf life, Letrozole is best stored at a controlled temperature of 25°C (77°F) with excursions permitted up to 15-30°C (59-86°F).

Performance is something that is often judged with results even though making the best attempt is enough evidence of a sportsman’s dedication and desire to win. This is the biggest reason why professional sportsmen, including athletes and bodybuilders, are emphasizing these days upon anabolic steroids such as Oral Turinabol.
In this piece of information, we will be reading all about Oral Turinabol and its benefits for sportsmen to create a distinctive niche.
Oral Turinabol or Tbol is a powerful anabolic steroid originally developed to build and retain solid muscle gains. But it was soon found that the steroid is also effective in promoting muscle mass, body strength, agility, endurance, and on-field performance. Since then, there has been no looking back for this anabolic steroid.
This derivative of Methandrostenolone is also considered to be second to none when it comes to reducing fatigue level experienced by sportsmen after undergoing strenuous workouts.
The recommended dose of Oral Turinabol is 100-150 mg on a daily basis for men. The recommended dose of this Methandrostenolone derivative for women is 5-15 mg per day for a maximum period of 2-4 weeks at a stretch. It is very important to note here that use of Tbol should be made only under medical guidance as abuse of Turinabol can lead to severe health complications such as testicular tumor and liver damage in acute cases. This drug is not meant or recommended for individuals having an existing allergy to Oral Turinabol or any of its ingredients.

The former teammate of Lance Armstrong, Floyd Landis, won the Tour de France championship only to see it stripped from him for doping.
With a career at all-time low, Landis made an unexpectedly return by disclosing that he and many top cyclists from America were engaged in systematic doping.
From NYTimes.com:
Until now, the 34-year-old Landis vehemently denied using performance-enhancing drugs, but in e-mail messages in recent weeks to cycling officials, he not only detailed his own doping practices, but he also said he watched Lance Armstrong and others inject the blood-booster EPO and use blood transfusions for increased endurance. He said some riders also took steroids and human growth hormone.
Landis did not return phone messages left for him. He acknowledged to ESPN.com that he had no documentation to prove his claims, but said he had kept a journal. He said he wrote the e-mail messages because “I want to clear my conscience,” adding, “I don’t want to be part of the problem anymore.”
It all put a pall over Stage 5 of the Tour of California, which was further darkened when Armstrong crashed, injuring his elbow and requiring eight stitches for a cut below his left eye. He abandoned the race.
Landis presently races with the lower-level OUCH-Bahati Foundation Pro Cycling team and has struggled to keep his life on track ever since he tested positive for a synthetic form of testosterone at the 2006 Tour de France.

Trenbolone enanthate is one of the very few names that can find a place in the most successful anabolic steroids of all times. This is not just because use of this anabolic steroid does not result in side effects, but also because it helps professional sportsmen, particularly bodybuilders and strength athletes, realize their dreams in no time.
Trenbolone enanthate can be easily classified as a derivative of Trenbolone, which is also known as Tren. Unlike other Tren derivatives, the enanthate version of Trenbolone does not lead to Tren cough. This performance enhancing drug is second to none when it comes to promoting buildup of solid muscle mass and facilitating body strength gains by promoting the processes of nitrogen retention and protein synthesis.
It has an anabolic/androgenic ratio of 500:500 and is five times more powerful than Testosterone (three times as strong on a milligram for milligram basis). It is also superior to Testosterone when it comes to suppressing production of endogenous androgens.
The recommended dose of Trenbolone enanthate for men is 300-600 mg per week and this use is best made for a period not exceeding 6-8 weeks at a stretch. Not to be used by women, especially pregnant and breastfeeding women, this steroid is the best option for potential steroid users looking for a steroid with minimal injectable frequency. The use of stimulating drugs such as HCG and/or Clomid/Nolvadex is recommended for Trenbolone enanthate users, especially at the concluding stage of steroid therapy.
When overdosed or used in absence of medical advice, use of this steroid can lead to steroid side effects such as testicular atrophy, hair loss, enlarged prostate, and acne.

The possibility of an expansion of the investigation beyond traditional drug distribution to investigate allegations that Lance Armstrong and other top cyclists engaged in doping is presently being explored by the federal authorities.
The authorities are expected to ascertain if Armstrong, the owners and managers of his past cycling teams and his teammates conspired to defraud their sponsors by improving performance by doping to garner more prizes and money.
From NYTimes.com:
The authorities will also closely examine the contract between Armstrong and S.C.A. Promotions, a company that refused to pay a $5 million bonus in 2004 after a book that alleged Armstrong engaged in doping, one of the people said. Armstrong sued S.C.A. Promotions, and the case — which resulted in hours of testimony by Armstrong and others under oath — was later settled out of court. S.C.A. was forced to pay $5 million and about $2.5 million in penalties.
“Federal fraud charges are fairly straightforward; they apply to any scheme to acquire money or property through deceit or misrepresentation,” said Daniel C. Richman, a professor of law at Columbia University and former federal prosecutor. “In this case, the authorities would have to prove that Armstrong was misrepresenting himself to sponsors by saying that he was clean but was actually using performance-enhancing drugs and profiting from it.”
Jeff Novitzky, the federal agent, who has been the lead investigator on the major doping investigations since the BALCO case began in 2002 met Floyd Landis, the former teammate of Lance Armstrong, and is playing a direct role in the investigation.
